On Learning From Mistakes
Karisma believes in learning from mistakes and that is one thing she has successfully passed on to her kids. Apart from learning from mistakes and experiences, the actress also advises her kids to listen to elders and take their point of view seriously.
“Learn from your mistakes but also listen to the little pieces of advice that your elders give you. It is important to have good values because that becomes the base for everything else in life”.
On Motherhood and Acting
Karisma started her acting career when she was 16 years old and back then in the 90s, she had to slog day and night to get noticed in the industry. So, when motherhood came calling, it was a welcome break for the actress. She took time off for her kids and has absolutely no regrets about it. That was how the supermom juggled work and family.

On Staying Grounded
One important factor that Karisma stresses on is being humble, no matter what we become in our life. She is also very keen in passing on the same to her kids and admits that her children, like other kids, have a very normal childhood. She is very particular that her stardom does not rub off on her kids. “It is very important to keep your children grounded. In today’s times it is very tough, but I’m a very private person and keep my kids away from the public eye”.
On Learning From Kids
Children can be great teachers and Karisma admits that she has learned a lot from her kids. “My kids have taught me a lot about technology. I am a bit tech-savvy because of them”, she says.
