5 Reasons Why Neetu Kapoor is a Great Mom!

She is back: After a long hiatus it takes a lot of courage to be back and play a character your own age (she is playing a pivotal role in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Besharam along with husband Rishi kapoor) and I think she is doing that fantastically well. Discipline, but always be friends with your kids: She believes that discipline is one thing that shapes how your kids will grow up to be and never compromised on it ever. When she did go through a rough patch in her marriage (when her kids were teenagers), she found friends in her children.

From playing a pivotal role in a film at 55, to looking gorgeous, elegant and dignified, this mom has done it all. With a dominating mother and husband, she still eases situations with her calm and never comes across as someone not in control of herself. Her kids Riddhima and Ranbir call her a supermom and believe she is responsible for the individuals they have shaped out to be. She gave up her career, ambition and youth to be a stay-at-home mom and it’s amazing to see how her children believe that’s the best thing that could have happened to them. Here are 5 reasons why I think Neetu Kapoor is a great mom.

She is back: After a long hiatus it takes a lot of courage to be back and play a character your own age (she is playing a pivotal role in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Besharam along with husband Rishi kapoor) and I think she is doing that fantastically well.  As women we are so insecure about our careers and feel like if we leave the race now we will never get back to it or will never be on top.

Age gracefully: It’s amazing how she comes across so dignified and elegant. You will never see her force fit herself into a trend, or go OTT, or defy her age.

Discipline, but always be friends with your kids: She believes that discipline is one thing that shapes how your kids will grow up to be and never compromised on it ever. When she did go through a rough patch in her marriage (when her kids were teenagers), she found friends in her children. She advises most parents to sensitise their children to situations around them.

Whip or words: She preferred the latter to discipline and raise her kids. She also bridged the gap between the father and the kids. As moms we need to do that all the time. She advises most moms to just say it once instead of repeating themselves and losing the weight of that final word. There is nothing that you can’t resolve with words.

Health total: She looks after her health and works out regularly giving emphasis to her diet and exercise routine. I have a lot of respect for moms who retain their individuality and don’t lose themselves to motherhood.

Its time we pick up some tips from her. So moms do share with us your thoughts on this or share that one parenting tip had did wonders for you in our comments below! You can also follow us on Facebook here and Twitter here
