Imagine teaching your child to eat, sleep or drive a car when you are almost 70! Doesn’t that sound scary? That aside, the biggest set back a mom at 40 will face is support. The child’s grandparents might also be too old to lend a helping hand. This leaves the parents to battle the war all alone. While the war that parents will have to brave is on one side, the child also goes through a whole lot of complex situations. The generation gap can leave the kid confused and in a maze, not knowing what will best suit her. In a line- the child will not be able to make sense of the family dynamics.

4. Taking Care Of Ageing Parents

While it is a norm in India to take care of our parents in their old age, how fair will it be for kids to shoulder the responsibility while they are barely in their 20s? This is precisely what you will have to face if you plan a family later than 40. Plus, if the grandparents are also in the picture, how will the child handle that? Well, some kids might adjust easily, while some may not!

5. More Time For The Baby

It isn’t all gloom and scare, there is a silver lining too! The biggest advantage of having a baby post 35 is that the mother will be more than willing to devote all her time to her baby. She is well established with her responsibilities in her personal and professional life and hence has more time for her baby. That also leave her in a financially better state, thereby being able to satisfy the baby’s needs and demands. Lastly, at this age, the mom is likely to have a stable family set up and the baby hence gets to live in a friendly environment.
