While we all love the Festival of Lights, those with younger kids have a bit of a struggle when it comes to getting them dressed, taking them from one place to another without meltdowns etc.
Diwali for me has always been about 5 Fs growing up in a Gujarati household. Family, Friends, Food, Fun, and Favours (or gifts). So while priorities and the way we celebrate festivals have truly changed, there are a few traditions I want to continue with my family.
So for all the moms out there, whether you plan to stay home or travel this Diwali, here are a few tips I have learned along the way that come in handy.
Tip # 1: Put all your accessories in labelled pouches
Tips # 2: Moms, get your beauty treatments done in advance. You need your pamper time as well.
Tip # 3: Carry comfortable cotton clothes along. Kids find everything scratchy when they are tired.
Tip # 4: Don’t forget to get your own jewellery out of the locker too
Tip #5: Ask your kid what hairstyle and what they want done in advance
