I am very picky when I buy things for the kids or their rooms and its simply because its hard to manage and maintain things and kids lose the affinity for  a product in no time. But there are some things that I would ask every new mom to invest in. Your kids will never outgrow this or lose interest until they are probably 6 or 7 years of age.
1. Pretend Play: Â Girl or boy, pretend play is something all kids love and must play. Â You can get a kitchen set a doctor set a superhero set. It doesn’t matter. The kitchen and doctor is something your kid swill absolutely enjoy and its a great role play idea.
2. Play & Activity Table: I would definitely recommend this one so the kids get a sense of their dedicated space to colour, play, cut or even study. You will also ensure that kids have a correct posture while they do all the activities.
3. Lego: There is no way you can escape this one. It’s one play piece that works with both genders. You will need to keep buying newer pieces as your kids grow older but trust me you will never discard the older ones because you can always use it to create something new each time and add to the picture.
4. Black & White Board: At first it will be just scribbles but as your kids get older they will use it to draw, colour, write, study, play word games like Pictionary or even for pretend play. If you get a magnetic board then its even better.
5. The Micro Scooter: Â I first got this for the daughter when she was about 2 and if I had to make a list of all the stuff she has really used in her childhood then this one would be on it. My younger one started using this, ofcourse with help by the age of 1.3 years. There are lots of scooters available out there but if you had to buy one I would recommend this because its super light, super safe and its something you cannot not have. Read our review here
