Just ask yourself these questions before you start feeding them
Do you let your child decide how much he/she should eat? – When they are full and say so we need to respect that and understand that they are actually done.
Do they have a proper eating designated table/chair which tells them it’s time to eat? – It helps them understand it’s time to eat and not play.
Does your child decide what he/she should eat? – You are the parent, eventually, you decide but give them a this/that option sometimes to make them feel empowered too.
Do you stick to a meal schedule or give it to snacks at regular intervals? – Sticking to a schedule helps regulate their eating habits
Feeding kids is tricky. Most of us try these techniques – Insisting on a certain number of bites, pressuring, rewarding or bribing kids to eat etc. This can kick off food battles that make things worse.
The thing is that one of the reasons kids get more picky over time than less picky is because we feed our kids the same food once or twice and then give up. Do you agree? You need to keep serving it over and over again.
We all go through this saying there has to be a better way of doing this right? This is exactly why we have teamed up with experts to answer your questions about your child’s eating habits.
We will be talking about
- Does that cause kids to be picky eaters as well?
- Does force-feeding affect a child’s relationship with food?
- Is it’s ok to use food as a reward or punishment?
If you are looking for answers to these questions and more then you should sign up for the webinar TODAY. It’s happening on Thursday, 30th September at 4 PM on Zoom.
