It’s the 21st century. We, as parents, want our kids to learn all the possible skills that are required to excel in this day and age, want them to have even the traditional skills like hard work and consistency and creativity… but all we do to build or develop these in them is push them to do better academically. What about play-time?

Will That Really Work?

Now, now. I’m not saying that performing academically is not important. Theoretical knowledge is a base for everything. But how can one really learn without trial and error? Especially kids. They need practicality to learn these very important and crucial skills. And one way of building these skills is by doing something fun and stimulating at the same time- Playing with toys. Yes, we’ve always associated “play-time” as “after-study-time”. But according to recent research, it is shown how toys play a huge role in developing a plethora of skills too!

So, Should I Just Get A Truck-Load Of Toys?

No… But maybe the right kind of toys. What do I mean by that? I mean toys that stimulate imagination, and creativity and help develop motor skills and problem-solving skills too. One of the toys that help with this and much more is- LEGO.

LEGO blocks can be used to make a huge-huge variety of things. It challenges your child’s imagination and helps them ask themselves, “What more can I do?”, “What more can I create?” This expands their imagination and their mind to do more, to think of creative ways and ideas.

If you wish to gift your kids 21st-century skills- gift them a LEGO set today!
