When I was growing up, Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie and the flying carpet were such a big part of my childhood. My sister and I loved listening to the story. When the movie came out, the song ‘ A Whole New World’ became like an anthem for us. We would stand on our beds and sing all the time. So when I heard Aladdin was coming to town, I just had to share that part of my childhood with my kids.
And we’re going to tell you why you should be booking tickets to watch this spectacular show if you haven’t already. Disney’s Aladdin is recreating the magic of Broadway in Delhi this week with breath-taking sets, special effects, and world-class production value and it’s an experience that should not be missed.

Why Your Kids Will Love Disney’s Aladdin?
- The story of Aladdin and Jasmine is one that most of us have grown up listening to or watched on TV. This one is a musical inspired by Broadway and it’s full of dance, music and lots of laughter. What’s not to love about that right?
- The sets and lighting are beyond spectacular. You won’t be able to get your eyes off the stage. My kids were glued to their seats the entire time. That’s when they were not tapping their feet to the fabulous music.
- The characters and their dialogues will keep you in splits. They’ve added humourous bits to their dialogues that the Delhi crowd absolutely loved. The entire audience was rolling with laughter at points in the musical.
- My son’s favourite character was Genie – with his humour, dialogues and awesome stage presence. Most of the actors are singing and dancing at the same time and it all seemed so effortless. Kudos to them!
- I won’t spoil it for you, but the flying carpet scene was truly magical. ‘ When the song ‘ A Whole New World’ came on, I don’t think there was a single person in the audience – kids and adults- who didn’t go wow!
So if you haven’t booked then you still have time. You still have a chance to see them since they’re performing in the city till 15th July 2018.
I should warn you that it is quite long (over 2hours) so go prepared as the kids tend to get a little fidgety.
