Aliv Ladoo Recipe | Perfect For Hair Fall & Growth

Aliv or Halim or Garden Cress seeds as they are known in English is a superfood and are loaded with many health benefits and nutritional qualities. Celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar has been sharing her wisdom about these power-packed seeds and has spoken in length about why we should include them in our meal plan.

We’re sharing an easy recipe today for Aliv Ladoos that are the perfect energy boosters we need in our dabba so that we stay fit and energized through the day. Also, this is excellent for children reaching puberty.

Ingredients – 

  • 1 Cup Aliv
  • 1 Coconut grated
  • 2 ½ Cups Jaggery/Gur (or as per sweetness required)
  • 2 Tsp Ghee
  • Nutmeg/Jaiphal Powder (optional)
  • Coconut Water


  • Soak aliv for one hour in coconut water.
  • Heat the ghee in a kadhai and add the soaked aliv.
  • Continue to cook the mix for a few mins. 
  • Mix grated coconut and gur and mix well. 
  • Allow to cool, add jaiphal powder and roll ladoos.

If kept in the refrigerator, will stay good for 10 days. If kept outside, for 3 days.
