My son plays football and he needed a new pair of cleats. My daughter plays basketball and she needed a new pair of shoes too. I have been buying shoes for the kids every 4 months. Instead of heading to two separate stores for two pairs of shoes, we just head to Decathlon. A place where we know we will find good quality products and the prices don’t pinch. The moment I say we’re going to Decathlon I’m greeted with screams of excitement. My kids absolutely love the store. This is our family’s one-stop shopping for a lot of things.

Decathlon is one of the world’s largest sporting goods manufacturers and retailers. Decathlon opened its first Store in Bengaluru in 2009. A store dedicated entirely to sports with one primary objective which is to “Make Sports Accessible to Allâ€_x009d_. What started off as a small store in a town in France has grown to an international chain across the world. With over 1100 stores in 88 countries, Decathlon has taken the sporting world by storm.

There is something for everyone at Decathlon. They have sports equipment for 50 sports activities! Looking to go camping this summer with your kids? Try their lightweight tents and sleeping bags. Are your kids looking for a new cycle this summer? Decathlon has a huge range of push scooters, regular cycles in all sizes and colours. The swimming section has swimsuits, caps, paddle pools, flippers, maternity swimwear, armbands etc – for the entire family. Their sports equipment is really well priced as are the clothes for each activity – racquet sports, treadmills, cricket equipment etc. If you’re interested in unusual activities like archery or fishing, you’ll find all you need for your trip, at the Decathlon store.With neatly divided sections with each catering to a particular sport, it’s easy to navigate. If you can’t find something, their staff is super helpful.

Decathlon has an amazing concept that you can use equipment around the store and play too. So outside most Decathlon stores, you have a basketball net set up where you’ll always find people/kids shooting hoops. Inside the store kids in helmets are whizzing around on push scooters or jumping on the trampoline or a game of table tennis in is in progress. My daughter loves the brightly coloured hula hoops and actually walks around the store swinging the hoops!

Why Should It Appeal To You?
Their water bottles, balls and bags selection is stupendous. They are really economically priced and such good quality. We have been using their bottles and knapsacks for a few years now and they’re still going strong. If it has stood the test of time with my kids, then it should be good right?
I always pick up my work-out clothes from there – yoga pants, cycling shorts, dry fit t-shirts you name it. So parents on the fitness path, pick up your stuff here too!
As parents, we always look for value for money and a really good return policy. This store has both!
