Angelina Jolie won the Best Villain award at the Kids Choice Awards hosted by Nicklodean for her character in Maleficent. Angelina was at the show with her kids Shilloh & Zahara.
What Angelina said and why it’s important?
Here is what she said:
I want to say when I was little, like Maleficent, I was told that I was different — and I felt out of place, and too loud, too full of fire, never good at sitting still, never good at fitting in. And then one day I realized something, something I hope you all realize. Different is good.”
Why is it important? Because it’s hard for us to accept that we are different and important to teach our kids that ‘fitting in’ is not important. To make your own place and accept who you are is more important.
Absolutely love her speech and you must share this with your kids no matter how old they are.
The one line I absolutely love is “Cause a little trouble. It’s good for you.â€_x009d_
