What is Smartivity Edge?
Smartivity Edge is a product of Smartivity- a startup by like-minded IIT professionals who joined hands to make the learning for kids to the next level. They have come up with a range of learning-based and engagement driven activities and puzzles for kids that employ Augmented Reality (AR) and STEM principles.

Smartivity has STEM-based learning toys, colouring sheets and puzzles for kids starting from 3 years onwards. You can order the kits from their website and Amazon.
The colouring kit we tried includes the theme based-colouring sheets, a set of 12 sketch pens and some additional sheets- like what do you want your child to be when they grow up-they can choose the profession, colour the sheet and enjoy some role-play on the app! If you are facing issues with the scan option, make sure you project the screen slightly away from the sheet and wait till you get a green overlay.
The puzzles are similar to the colouring sheets. Just like how kids need to colour and bring to life the animal, here, they need to crack the jigsaw puzzle and scan it to bring their favourite animal to life. The puzzles come in various packs such as monuments, animals and the underwater world.
If you are looking for fun ways to entertain children 8 years and older, the S.T.E.M kits from Smartivity are a great choice. The Mechanical Xylofun Music Machine, the Roller Coaster Marble Slider, the Clickety Flix Retroscope, the Super Duper Propulsion Car are some of the fun ways to engage your kids and enable them to learn something in the process. The puzzles and STEM kits are interesting in nature and will be fun for kids to try. With the STEM kits- the process of assembly and learning to use what they made themselves, kids will develop their essential skills as well learn more about various concepts of science.
