Baby Milestones: Signs They WIll Walk Soon

The 1st steps your baby takes is a huge milestone and every parent and grandparent is just waiting for that moment. While there are some kids who walk before their 1st birthday there are others who don’t. We spoke to Dr Prasanth Inna, Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon at Manipal Hospital, Bengaluru and this is what he said.

Long before babies take their first step, they’re working on the skills they need to go toddling across the room. 

In order to walk, your child needs muscle strength, balance, and the ability to perceive their body in space. Your little one acquires these skills slowly over the first year.

The 1st few steps your baby takes are a huge milestones and every parent and grandparent is just waiting for that moment. Actually, every day is special in a little one’s life and capturing those moments is so important. Now while there are some kids who walk before their 1st birthday there are others who don’t.
