Guindy National Park

This one has been around in the heart of the city for a very long time, and once you are in there it would be hard to believe that you are right in the middle of the city. A lush green getaway nestled in the heart of a city- that’s Guindy National Park for you.  Your kids can enjoy all of this and more at an entrance fee of just Rs.20. Think about how much your kids can actually enjoy and learn over a fun outing here than an idle visit to a mall! The place is pretty well maintained but on state holidays and weekends- you can expect crowds to swell in. Chetpet Eco Park

This eco haven, located in Poonamallee High Road, sprawling over 16 acres houses a man-made lake that is built using recycled sewage water- and the only one such within the city limits. An eco-theme park, initiated by the Government of Tamilnadu, this place also houses one of the city’s best walking and jogging tracks that is said to invite thousands for a refreshing walk every single day. Jeeva Park

Jeeva Park, located very close to Panagal Park houses a children’s play area, a badminton court and a skating rink. One of the smaller parks in the city but a well-maintained one. Ideal for walking and jogging.

Tholkappia Poonga

Tholkappia Poonga or Adyar Eco Park consists of tropical dense evergreen forest, predominantly comprising trees and shrubs that have thick dark green foliage throughout the year, with over 160 woody species, and comprises six vegetative elements such as trees, shrubs, lianas, epiphytes, herbs and tuberous species. project, conceived based on the master plan for the restoration of the vegetation of the freshwater

Panagal Park

One of the popular parks in the city- this attracts visitors every day for a brief respite in Nature’s lap amidst the busy city life. But the bigger attraction is its proximity to the shopping hub of Chennai. The adjacent Usman Road and Ranganathan Street is where you might find the entire city descend upon during festive times!

Anna Nagar Tower Park

Anna Nagar Tower Park has a 135-foot-tall, 12-storied tower located at the centre of the park. It also houses an amphitheatre, a bird-watching deck, badminton courts, play area for kids, a skating rink and soon there will be a lake too (currently under construction). It also has a walking path for walkers.

Nageshwara Rao Park

One of Mylapore residents’ favourite park, Nageshwara Rao park has a play area for kids (that’s often crowded), a great walking track, place for some quiet Yoga practice, and also hosts musical events and other fun events for residents.

Sivan Park

Nagar, is a quiet and small place that has a nice play area for kids, walking tracks and also a small Siva temple for residents to spend a nice evening together.
