IGNITE is a National competition for children younger than 17 years of age, which allows the young minds to invent innovative technological solutions. Priyanka Panda won this competition by designing a monitor that can be set up next to the odometer in vehicles. This monitor beeps and indicates to the driver when he or she is wasting fuel, so the driver can stop contributing to air pollution.

Priyanka, who considers Dr APJ Abdul Kalam as her role model, also hopes to share this innovation with vehicle manufacturers, to make the country pollution-free. Now that this little girl has made a genuine effort to check pollution, we hope more people will take to this idea!
