Bookaroo 2014 is back! This year is the 7th edition which is on November 29th and 30th. The event  has a big line-up of writers, illustrators, poets and storytellers that will entertain all the bookaholics.  Eighty-three speakers will be with you to celebrate the joy of books and literature. There are 99 delightful sessions lined up for the weekend. Meet your favourite author or illustrator, participate in workshops, listen to enthralling stories from all over the world or just craft your way through the day. It’s your weekend. .

 29th November for 4 – 8 year olds
12:30PM – The Storywallahs-Ameen ul Haque –Age 4-6 years
Stories with twists and surprises. Stories that make you laugh. Stories that make you sing along. And stories that stay with you long after the storyteller has gone.
01:30PM – Follow the White Lines -Age 4-6 years
through the town, down the street. What can you see? Who will you meet?
03:00PM – Flying High -Age 4-6 years
A chance to train your very own eagle and let it fly high in the sky. (Limited to 50)
03:30PM – Handa’s Surprise -Â Age 4-6 years
Stories, music, movement and surprises galore with mangoes, tangerines, bananas and pineapples; monkeys, elephants, zebras, chickens and much, much more – and of course, Handa. (Limited to 100)
10:30AM – Boo Boo Baby and the Giraffe -Â Age 4-6 years
Join Boo Boo Baby and her giraffe for a lolloping, galloping time. With a little help from Eileen, learn to draw your own (very simple) Boo Boo Baby – and a giraffe.
04:30PM – Meet Yesper and Noper -Â Age 4-6 years
Yesper and Noper are best friends even though they are exact opposites. Yesper says YES to everything, Noper says NO to everything. But who will answer when the crocodile asks if she can eat them? (Limited to 50)
05:00PM – Udti Titliyan -Â Age 4-6 years

04:30PM – A Splash of Stories -Â Age 4-6 years
Glub…glub…..glub….. dive into this pool of stories and come up drenched in their magic! Meet some quirky people, some wise creatures and join them in their adventures.

03:00PM – The Peacock’s Tale -Â Age 4-6 years
Listen to the story of the Peacock who changed from being the leader of the birds in the jungle to a vain bird, so proud of his feathers that he refused to dance!
12:00PM – Spinning Tops and Turvy Tales -Â Age 4-6 years
Stories are as special as friends, as lovable as pets and lots of FUN to be with. Come, meet some new Stofriends! Link arms with them and skip along for a joyride.
11:00AM – Ghoomti Jhoomti Kahaniyan -Â Age 6 to 8 –

01:30PM – How the World’s First Superman Tried to Eat the Sun -Â Age 6 to 8 –
Discover how Hanuman tried to eat the sun. Come with your acting shoes on as you may be asked to come up and play the part of Surya, or Brahma, or Indra or little Hanuman himself.
12:00PM- Ek Guldasta Kahaniyon Ka -Â Age 6 to 8 –
Aao suney kuch anokhi kavitayen aur kahaniyan Divik Ramesh ke sang. (Limited to 50)
04:30PM – Through the Forest -Age 6 to 8 –
Come and join Handa and Boo Boo Baby. Where are they going? What do they see? You decide! Draw yourself and the animals, birds, insects, flowers and fruit of this wonderful Indian forest.
04:30PM – It’s in My Nature -Â Age 6 to 8 –
Let your imagination run wild to create your own mad, quirky characters from objects found in nature, and also spin stories around them, (Limited to 50)
10:30AM – 3-2-1 Blast Off -Â Age 6 to 8 –
Build your own personal spaceship with Sara Lundberg. (Limited to 50)
12:00PM – The Moon and the Mermaid -Age 6 to 8 –
Mr Moon meets a mermaid. Mr Moon falls in love with the mermaid. The mermaid wants to see where Mr Moon works. Huh oh! There is no sea on the moon
03:00PM – A Curious Cat and the World -Age 6 to 8 –
Do you want to be a scientist? An artist? Come and listen to a story about a naughty cat who is both – then create a book of your own! (Limited to 50)
03:00PM – Make Way for Farmer Falgu -Age 6 to 8 –
Farmer Falgu has a good heart – but sometimes he needs a break from his mad, wacky, noisy farm! Join Falgu and the author, Chitra Soundar as they go on a trip filled with songs, food, dance and cartloads of fun!
01:30PM- Squiggle Takes A Walk -Age 6 to 8 –
For little ones – and not-so-little ones – punctuation can be a headache! Come on a journey with Squiggle, a fantastic new character dreamt up by Natasha Sharma to make learning how to write fun!

Take a handful of laughter, add a dash of adventure, a sprinkling of mystery and lashings of imagination for a sensational story stew.

Come join the Lorax, the Grinch, Horton the Elephant, the Cat in a Hat, the Sneetches and all your other favourite characters in this very special storytelling session of some of your favourite Dr Seuss books.
1:-30 PM -Story Shapers- Age 6-8
Does your story stand tall like a giraffe or curve like a python? Can you spot the shapes in stories? Can we change giraffes into pythons and pythons into ladders?
