A Calming Jar is a great sensory tool to help settle down an anxious child. These jars have shown to distract and regulate the thoughts of a child that is upset. Just give this jar to your child when he/she is upset, shake it and watch the anxiety melt away as they watch the glitter swirl and slowly settle down. The process of watching the glitter settle down helps them re-centre their emotions and thoughts. These Calming Jars can be made at home easily with supplies available at home. Easy, quick to make and low cost too!
