So, here’s what he says about this question:

  • In kids, all meds can be given on an empty stomach unless specified by a pediatrician.
  • When kids are sick, appetite is the first to go and last to come back. Don’t force feed.
  • All meds can be mixed with food or any liquid unless specifications are given.
  • Take a little quantity of food and mix the medicine in that. First, feed that food and then the rest.
  • Medicines for kids come in two ways- suspensions and dry syrup. For suspension, shake the bottle well before giving the dose. For dry syrup, it come with sterile water. Make sure to add a little sterile water first and make a thick syrup and then add rest of the water. This avoids lumping of the powder.
