Looking for options to do something interesting with your kids? Take them to Mumbai’s oldest Museum – Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum. Did you know it opened in 1872 as the Victoria & Albert Museum? They are celebrating International Museum Day and here’s what you can expect!

There are day-long activities planned to celebrate International Museum Day at the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum this Friday and it's all free!
Schedule
10:30 AM to 11:30 AM – Museum Tour in English
This tour will highlight the story of Mumbai's oldest Museum, its restoration and a walk through their best collections
11:30 AM to 1 PM – Become A Curator for a Day! (session in English)
Participants in this workshop get to play the role of a Curator and plan and execute an exhibit around a particular theme or object This will all be done based on inspirations taken from the Museum's permanent collection.
2 PM to 3 PM – Museum Tour in Marathi
This tour will walk you through the story of Mumbai's oldest Museum, its restoration and their best collections
3 PM to 4:30 PM – Become A Curator for a Day! (session in Marathi)
Participants in this workshop get to be a Curator and plan and execute an exhibit around a particular theme or object This will all be done based on inspirations taken from the Museum's permanent collection.
5:30 PM – Film Screening of 'Ha Bharat Maza: India is my Country'
This will be presented as part of the ongoing Marathi Film Festiva and will be a compilation of selected films by Sumitra Bhave and Sunil Sukathankar.
All Day Activity:
Explore the Museum through a fun 'Scavenger Hunt' activity sheet full of clues and riddles and it's free! These sheets are available all day at the ticket counter in both Marathi and English
