The changing weather in our country keeps everyone on their toes. It’s either too hot, too humid, too wet or too cold – I know it’s just crazy. All of this means that the cycle of cold, cough and sniffles along with a host of other seasonal things like Swine Flu or Hand Foot Mouth disease is continuous.

One of the first things to go is your appetite when the kids or you are not feeling too bright. But keeping the energy levels up is so important. Did you know that bananas are one of the best fruits you can have for a healthy gut? The gut is referred to as your 2nd brain.

When there is trouble there, it affects all of you. The tummy tends to take a beating, and dehydration and constipation kick in in some cases. So adding bananas to your meal plan is definitely recommended. They help with digestion because the carbohydrates they contain are easily broken down. We have tons of recipes that you can sneak bananas into if your child doesn’t enjoy eating them. You can find some below.
