Last week my inbox was flooded with WhatsApp messages that the second wave is riskier for children. This created a lot of chaos everywhere. I was very confused – should I allow my 4-year-old to the building garden? What are the precautions I should take? When is this going to end? Then it was followed up with another text mentioning the information was a hoax. Then the news confirmed that children are showing a lot of information.

We are living in the most uncertain times. It has been extremely difficult for parents. Our anxiety has started to creep into our children. My daughter often tells me, "if I don't take off the mask, I won't get COVID." This is not the childhood I wanted to give her. I didn't want the screen to be her only friend and pass time at home. First up, Dr Samir Dalwai rightfully said in the interview. There are more cases on mental health for kids than the pandemic. This needs to be addressed by parents.
