As the World Cup fever runs everywhere, my daughters are super excited, not just to see the matches, but to see their mom watch something so intently and engrossed! T20s might have made things more exciting over the years, but nothing takes away the joy of ODI World Cups where the stakes are high and each team comes up with some of their best performances that stay etched in your memories for years to come!
As an ardent (and crazy even!) cricket fan, I wanted my daughters to enjoy cricket the way I did growing up. I wanted them to relive the Tendulkars and Gangulys and Pontings, the same way they enjoy a Kohli century or Rohit Sharma’s pull shot!
Have jotted down the top 10 cricketing victories from World Cup matches that I have seen- and some that are from yore, that my parents made me watch too! Passing on the legacy of enjoying cricket matches to my girls-indeed! Which one is your favourite?!
And will India repeat the magic 12 years later, this time for Kohli?!
