The nursery admission season 2020-2021 is here and this year, it is starting earlier than usual.

The Directorate of Education, DoE has released a circular that states that the nursery admissions for more than 1600 private schools in the city, will begin on November 29th and the process of submitting forms online and offline would go on till December 27th. And the government has also set a cap on the child's upper-age while applying for nursery admissions.

Here are the key pointers from the recent circular:

  • The admission window is open from November 29th to December 27th.
  • The first list of selected children along with marks/points secured will be out on January 24th.
  • As always, 25% of the seats in each school will be allocated for the EWS/DG category.
  • All private schools to upload their criteria (with points for each criterion on their website) by November 28th.
