Every week months I get an urge to redecorate my house. Unfortunately, that's not really a feasible option and definitely not cost effective. So I keep looking for DIY projects that the kids and I can do that will add a little something to my house and make it look a little different.

This week we're making a DIY Embroidery Hoop Photo Frame using fairy lights. This DIY Embroidery Hoop Photo Frame made with fairy lights is perfect to make your room and your memories shine. It's very simple and does not require expensive materials to put together and the kids will definitely enjoy doing it. The only thing you need to really keep in mind is that you need to hang it near a plug point.

Materials

  • Embroidery Hoop
  • Fairy Lights
  • Wooden Clothes Pegs
  • Artificial Flowers
  • Cello Tape

Method

  • Tape one end of the fairy lights to the frame. Make sure it's tightly secured.
  • Weave the fairy lights through the hoop.
  • Make a criss-cross design to form a star. It should be evenly distributed.
  • Tie and tape the ends well. 
  • Use the wire attached to the artificial flowers to wrap them around the hoop frame.
  • Cover the taped area with artificial flowers.
  • Use wooden pegs to clip on the photos. 
  • Switch on the fairy lights and watch the transformation.
