If you have a green thumb but not enough garden space, why not create your own mini-world full of beautiful plants by making your own terrarium? A terrarium is like an aquarium, but for plants, instead of fish and one that needs minimal maintenance. You can use just about any glass container to make one of your own. You could use a fish bowl, glass jar or a small glass bottle.

Normally succulent plants are added to terrariums as they need very little water.  It is planted to look like a miniature garden or forest enclosed in its own little world. They also make excellent decorative and ornamental pieces.

In today's video, we show you how to build your own simple terrarium. With the summer holidays on, the kids can lend you a hand while you make your own terrarium. They are easy-to-make and maintain and are excellent for gifting to eco-friendly friends this season.
