If you are one of those lucky few who is raising a child that loves to dive into the world of books, is happy with the titles you get them and is working on their vocabulary and language skills- you probably can bypass this. You don’t need this.

I recently got my daughters this book by Sudha Murty and I must confess I was lucky they liked reading it. For more books by Sudha Murty for kids- check out our article.

But it's not a smooth sail every day for me.  I am sure a lot of you agree with me. We think we order the best books for them online only to be terribly disappointed in it ourselves when it arrives or to be tossed aside by the kids “‘coz they didn’t find it that interesting”.

What do I do next?

  • Should I leave the deciding authority to my 5-year-old to buy books?!
  • Should I patiently wait for this phase to tide over?
  • How do I know the books I get my child are in the right age bracket?

We know your mind races through all these questions and lots more. I’ve got this.

We recently conducted a webinar on “How To Raise A Reader And The Common Mistakes Parents Make” and I have shared my learnings in a video for parents to try out. I have also shared the tips that we at KSP Book Club offer to parents to help raise kids who love books. Remember- these are tried and tested tips- so you know they are mommy approved and loved by kids!
