In an exclusive interview of Ruskin Bond by Mansi Zaveri in association with Crossword, we got to hear so many wonderful pointers from the man himself. Here are some of the brilliant points Mr. Bond shared in the conversation that we loved the most:
- Don’t expect your kids to read the books you get them always. Help them discover good books. That’s one step to raise a reader and help them fall in love with books.
- Don’t be afraid of failures. It is very important for children to learn to embrace failure. The first time you fail, learn your lessons. The next time- just fail better!
- It is not difficult to write for this tech-savvy generation of kids. ‘Coz the certain factors remain the same as we traverse through generations!
- I am a reader first, writer second!
Psst- we also got a sneak peek at the what the day in the life of Ruskin Bond looks like, how he spends his time during the lockdown and how his real-life characters have reacted to their portrayals in his stories!
