Do you know the biggest thing that holds back women from pursuing their dreams at work? The perennial “Who will take care of the kids when I am gone?” dilemma.

Yes, yes I hear you. That’s why god invented daycares and nannies and grandparents! Yes, but how many of us are really lucky enough to have one or more of these as a part of our daily lives? Due to reasons, that are either geographical, or personal or economical, the bulk of parents today, moms in particular, are struggling to find someone they can trust their child with.

The lack of nurseries and day cares at work places has been an on-going debate for so long, but thanks to social media, the awareness is still there. Some day, hopefully. things will change.

But as a first step here is some good news!

The 2024 Paris Summer Games have made history with the introduction of the first-ever nursery in the Olympic Village. This new facility aims to support athlete-parents by providing essential services and a comfortable space for their young children.

Located in the Olympic Village Plaza, the nursery will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. It includes changing areas, breastfeeding rooms, and play zones to help athlete-parents manage their family needs while they focus on their competitions. This thoughtful addition allows parents to attend to their children’s needs without being distracted from their athletic goals.

Pampers is playing a key role by providing high-quality diapers and wipes for the nursery. Beyond the nursery, Pampers will also donate one million preemie diapers to neonatal units in the U.S., highlighting their dedication to supporting families both in and out of the Olympic Village.

The new nursery shows a big move towards making sports events more inclusive. At Paris 2024, athlete-parents can now care for their kids while competing, setting a new standard for future games.

Here’s something all of us have been talking about! Let’s make it possible for moms to come back into the workforce! While I wish I had nurseries when I was working at my corporate jobs, having a nursery at the Olympics- and having your kids closer to you changes the entire game. You can feed, and your kids can be taken care of!

How amazing is this?
