Winter is at it's best currently in the Capital. Not too cold and the sun is warm enough to let you enjoy the weather. It's the perfect weather to head out before the scorching heat makes it unbearable to even step out.

Kids like nothing more than to run outside and be free; open spaces is what appeals to them. So while there are a lot of great parks in Delhi, we've picked two places we know the kids will absolutely love and so will you.

So now you don't need to scratch your head and wonder how to keep them entertained over the weekend!

Mughal Gardens

The Mughal Gardens is a part of the Rashtrapati Bhavan, which is the President's House. It was built by the Mughals and is heavily influenced by the style of Persian Gardens. Spread over 15 acres, the garden boasts of over 150 different variety of roses. The Mughal Gardens are opened to the public every year on occasion of the Annual festival Udyanotsav. This year the Gardens will be open from 6th Feb – 10th March 2020

What Kids Will Love

There are different gardens that have been contributed by every President we've had. The Bonsai Garden and nature trails were President Pratibha Patil’s contribution; President Abdul Kalam had contributed by making Herbal Gardens, Tactile Gardens for the visually handicapped, Musical gardens, Bio-Fuel Park, Spiritual and Nutrition garden.

Besides roses, the garden is ablaze with different coloured tulips, Asiatic lilies, daffodils, hyacinth and other seasonal flowers. The garden also grows 60 of the 101 known types of bougainvillaea. There are some typical features including pools, canals and fountains inside the Mughal Gardens too. If you're lucky, you may get to see some peacocks strutting around the gardens.

This year the special thing to look for is 10,000 tulips specially cultivated in Mughal Gardens are expected to bloom in vivid colours of red, white, orange and yellow mixed with red and pink. The special bulbs were imported from the Netherlands last year.

The Gardens has been divided into different sections and the ones to look for are
