Apparently more than 100 images have been created by the renowned British artist Jim Kay for this special book, including the book jacket. “The story is everything, and so I want to bring what I can to really show the depth of Rowling’s stories to their best.” said the illustrator. Jim Kay is a celebrated British children’s book illustrator known primarily for his macabre and dark images. He has worked previously with a number of authors and has also done accomplished work with the Tate Gallery in London. Kay says he was forced to interact with younger people because he needed inspiration to sketch the Potter series.
