As we welcome the hot days of summer once again, we struggle our way to cut through this heat. There is nothing better I can think of than to quickly stir up a glass of chilled, easy-to-make fruity milkshake for the kids.
All you got to do is find some fruits in your fridge, some milk, coolants, a bit of sugar and loads of love and your kids will slurp the drink in no time.
For those Mommies who enjoy experimenting with a mix, match and blend of more ingredients here are some fun Desi-style ideas:
1. Saunf/Fennel Drink:
This one is one of my favourites and is our summer special at home. Take some fennel seeds & crush them with sugar and keep in the freezer. On a busy day which is practically every day for us, add it to the water & some lemon juice. Strain the fennel powder off and serve. Very very cooling for the summer. 2. Rose Milkshake/Sharbat:
This is also one of my favourites for those tantrum days when the plain white milk needs to become pinkalicious.
3. Pink Lemonade:
Add some rose sharbat or fresh rose petals to the regular nimbu pani. To make it frizzy add soda only if you are okay with them having some.
