The Hindu Lit For Life 2018

The Hindu Lit For Life is one of the biggest literary fests that everyone in Chennai looks forward to in the beginning of the year. And this year, make sure you bookmark your Pongal long weekend to attend this event- along with your kids, 'coz there is something in it for everyone in the family. The idea of the fest is to connect literature with the masses.The Festival explores a range of genres such as fiction, non-fiction, politics, history, arts, cinema and lots more.

What's special for kids:

In addition to panel discussions and expert takes on topics of interest, there are workshops that are planned on all the three days for adults and children. Here is what is planned for kids this year.

  • Special workshop for kids aged 9-12 on what it takes to be an author, what drives a good plot, and how you can generate ideas by Amelio.
  • Workshop by Meena Naik on how you can turn a simple brown paper bag into various characters that tell stories. 
  • Storytelling by Geeta Ramanujam.
  • Workshop by illustrator Chetan Sharma on how to draw great illustrations that bring your stories to life.

There are other brilliant workshops for adults such as Parenting Secrets by Nandini Raman, Explaining all about Fiction by Paro Anand, and lots more.
