A steaming mug of rich, sweet hot chocolate is just everyone’s favourite winter drink.
At KSP Exclusive, Zeba Kohli shares her unique hot chocolate recipes- the first one is dairy-free (for all the vegans), and the other one is completely dairy and sinful. This hot chocolate here is a delight for every palate, and the choice is left completely up to you – either go sinful or opt for healthy. This simple recipe is just perfect for a gathering or a chilled winter morning. The white hot chocolate is an elegant variation of the hot coco. So, what are you going for?
Ingredients for dairy-free hot chocolate:
- 1 cup of soya milk
- Dark chocolate
- Popcorn
Method
- Heat 1 cup of soya milk (you could replace it with almond milk)
- Boil the dark chocolate in a double boiler (dark chocolate has no dairy)
- Add as much dark chocolate to the soya milk as you want, depending on the consistency you like. (The more chocolate you add, the richer the hot chocolate is)
- Whisk the soya milk with the dark chocolate well. Don’t worry when you see the milk separating, the more you whisk the silky it gets.
- Add the mixture to the mason jar and garnish it with popcorn.
Ingredients for a sinful dairy hot chocolate:
- 1 bowl of fresh cream
- White chocolate
- Marshmallows
- Sprinkles
Method:
- Heat 1 bowl of fresh cream
- Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler
- Add the white chocolate to the fresh cream and mix it well
- Add the mixture to the mason jar and garnish it with marshmallows and sprinkles. (You could microwave the marshmallow to make it chewy.)
