Raising a mini art lover at home? We are sure you would have hoarded on the essential supplies and created a cosy art corner for your little artists at home. What's more? If they are keen to pursue their passion for art, there's more to it. They need to study the works of famous artists, their methodologies and how art has transcended over the years. But are our kids equipped to understand all this?

This book by Purnima Sampat aims to do just that. Purnima, the Founder & Director of Art4All, has a rich 3-decade experience of teaching art to school students and has also been an elected world councillor at InSEA (International Society for the Education through the Arts – an arm of the UNESCO).

About the book:

Look, Learn, Do is an interactive book that introduces kids to the world of Indian artists and their works. The children's book market is replete with an abundance of works that teach kids- both little and big about global veterans such as Picasso and Van Gogh but there are hardly any books that teach kids the basics of Indian artists and contemporary art.

With a list of iconic and contemporary artists, this book aims to tell kids about their diverse artwork, how they did what they did and serves as an inspiration to your budding artists. Each chapter also contains a do it yourself project at the end- now that sounds like a fun read and try for your kids.

The book launch:

The book Look, Learn, Do was launched on Sunday, the 17th November and followed by an insightful conversation on art for kids in today's world by a panel comprising of Purnima Samrat- the author of the book, Dhruvi Acharya- Indian Contemporary Artist who is featured in the book and Mansi Zaveri- Founder of Kidsstoppress.
