It's the festive season now and we are happy with all the light, celebrations and delicious treats that make their way into our lives! How many of our kids actually understand why we do what we do?

The Ramayana made its grand comeback on Doordarshan this year and that gave ample scope for me and the kids to bind over mythology. To them, it was a fun TV storytime and to me, it got them closer to our culture. But are we there yet? Do today's kids really find Rama and Hanuman and Krishna relevant in this era?

Mythology has always been more about understanding the values and the morals than just about the passive story set in ancient times, I believe. I got started my little girls on simple stories from Indian mythology, through videos, books and I must tell you, as a mother- they are loving it!

On Summer Fun Factory, we have all-new exclusive courses this week as Dasshera special, with stories on Rama, Hanuman and Krishna- curated and narrated by Shubha Vilas Prabhuji.

We have 3 new courses:

But how do we answer the ton of questions that come with it? The video below looks to explain these questions about Hanuman in a language easy to understand for kids.

Krishna is almost every kid's favourite deity, right? As children, we have read so much about his mischiefs, antics and miracles from books, grandparents and TV shows. Cut to chase, today's children aren't big fans of mythology, 'coz they haven't read much or heard many stories about Natkhat Krishna. Go ahead and listen to this interesting video workshop on the interesting stories of Lord Krishna that your kids will want to listen to.
