Ingredients

  • 1/2 Banana
  • Pinch cinnamon (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons cooked quinoa
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk yoghurt

How to make:

  1. If you like, you could grind the quinoa to make it finer and easier to cook. Dry roast the quinoa and cook it like you would cook rice. About 1/4 cup of quinoa for every 2-3 cups of water. Keep whisking if you are cooking with quinoa powder so it doesn’t form lumps. Cook the quinoa until tender and let it cool. Keep prep time as quinoa takes a while to cook.
  2. Peel banana. Add to bowl and mash with a fork. If the banana is not sweet enough feel free to add in a date or apple puree.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and stir to combine. If your baby is averse to textured food then you can blend it all into a smooth paste.
  4. Serve.
