In this fast-paced competitive world, we are often over-burdened by the rat race driven by perfection. In an attempt to outshine and being perfect, we pass on this stress and anxiety to our kids too. This book whole-headedly defies the common belief and stereotyped thinking. It stands out to explain that at times it is really okay not be to perfect. Being fallible is inherent to human and one should not panic or stress about it. It teaches the children as well as adults to let go and to enjoy.

The plot:
Beatrice Bottomwell, the protagonist has never made a mistake. To the extent that people knew her not by her name but as a girl who never made mistakes. Her brother, Carl did make mistakes and was happy that way. One day while cooking rhubarb muffins with her team in school, Beatrice almost made a small error! This traumatised her.
The possibility of making a mistake stressed her and made her feel very anxious. And the juggling competition – the competition that she has been winning for last three years in a row was around the corner. Something unthinkable happens and she makes a mistake- publicly. It was difficult for her to stand the embarrassment at first, however she soon realised embracing non-perfect things was also fun.
What happens then? How did Beatrice realise the important life lesson of learning to let go, forms the story. Simple- but with a hard-hitting message.
This book explains why it is okay to fail at times and we can't be perfect every single time-an important lesson for our kids.
