Even though she is part of the Royal family and has a huge support system to help her with her children, she knows it’s a tough road for others who have no one to help them out. The sheer fact that you are no longer responsible only for yourself but other lives too can be very overwhelming, even for her.
“Personally, becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience. However, at times it has also been a huge challenge, even for me who has support at home that most mothers do not”
There is no right or wrong rule in the parenting book

Every parent tries to be the best they can. There is no right way or wrong way to take care of your family. You learn how to make the most of what you have so that your children have the best of everything. There are days when you will be faced with a lack of confidence or may be ignorant about something, but that’s ok. It happens to the best of us and you shouldn’t put yourself down.

Don’t be ashamed to share your emotions

Motherhood is full of joy, love and a lot of confusion and sometimes frustrations. There will be days when you feel you’re incapable of being a good parent.

“Some of this fear is about the pressure to be a perfect parent ― pretending we’re all coping perfectly and loving every minute of it”.

It’s ok to show signs of stress or if you are not able to cope with the constant changes in your new life.  You need to talk to someone about it – a family member, a friend or a therapist. Your mental health is very important for your happiness and that of your family’s.

The Royal couple recently went through another decision all parents have to make and chose to break from the royal tradition and enrol their son Prince George at Thomas’s Battersea School in London. The school’s motto, “Be Kind” resonated with the couple and so did the school’s emphasis on humility and confidence.  The Duke of Cambridge and his brother went to an all boys school but the Cambridge parents have decided on a co-ed school so that the siblings can be in the same school. As modern day parents, they want to teach the best values to their children and selection of a little-known but great primary school shows that they are moving in the right direction. We wish them luck!
