Holidays are the best way to spend uninterrupted time with your children and we take months to plan a perfect getaway. Here is our curated list of 22 destinations that either offer visa-free entry, visa on arrival or e-visa based on your existing US Visa.

Holidays are the best way to spend uninterrupted time with your children and we take months to plan a perfect getaway. When we are planning a holiday with kids, there are multiple factors that help us decide the destination like how many hours does it take to get there, the weather conditions and is the city we're picking kid-friendly.

But did you know that if you are an Indian citizen, then you could travel to 58 countries without a visa? For me, these destinations would make it on top of my list because planning becomes fuss-free.

Here is our curated list of 22 destinations that either offer visa-free entry, visa on arrival or e-visa based on your existing US Visa.

 

 

 

 

Indonesia

Why Go: Indonesia will always be on top of the list because it has a lot to offer like, water sports, elephant and monkey sanctuaries, beaches and spas.

As long as you have an Indian passport that is valid for 6 months and your stay is only for 30 days, Indians don't need a visa for Indonesia. On the immigration counter, you will get a visa exemption stamp and this stamp allows officials to track your length of stay. 

Bhutan 

Why Go: Bhutan is a fascinating country and it has a reputation for all mystery and magic. It is a small land-locked mountainous country, surrounded by China to its north and India to its east, south, and west. It is a place where a traditional Buddhist culture carefully embraces global developments. You could also plan a fun trek with your li'l one. 

Indian passport holders don't need a visa to enter Bhutan but need a permit. You also need a passport that is valid for 6 months or any other identity proof like a Voter's ID. 

Maldives 

Why Go: Maldives is the ultimate destination with kids because of the clear waters, splash play areas, luxury hotels, gardens by the beach, water sports and so much more.

Indian nationals visiting the Maldives as a tourist do not require any pre-arrival visa. A free Maldives tourist visa is valid for 90 days and it can be issued for Indian nationals. 

Mauritius 

Why Go: Mauritius boasts beautiful beaches and mountains. Enjoy the multiple waterfalls, hiking trails, rainforests, watersports and much more!

Indian passport holders need to carry their passport, 2 recent coloured photographs of size 3.5 cms * 4.5 cms, white background with matt or semi-matt finish with 80% face coverage without a border. You also need a confirmed return ticket, confirmed hotel booking confirmation and a copy of the day-wise itinerary, boarding pass, sufficient currency in the form of cash or Forex card 

Nepal

Why Go: Nepal is on top of the bucket list because it boasts culture, wildlife, and treks. It is one of the world's greatest travel destination because of the Himalayan views, golden temples, charming hill villages, and jungle wildlife watching. 

An Indian citizen over the age of 10 years traveling between India and Nepal by air would have to keep valid Indian passport or Voter ID. 

Seychelles 

With clear waters filled with exotic marine life and vibrant culture, Seychelles is one of the best destinations in the world. It boasts of rich colonial heritage and a great mix of adventure, tranquility, and relaxation. 

Indian nationals visiting Seychelles are granted visa-free access if they can produce a valid passport, return ticket, proof of accommodation and adequate money. 

Visas on Arrival For Indian Passport Holders

Cambodia 

Why Go: From ancient temple ruins to lush vegetation with secret waterfalls, Cambodia has many attractions that keep families entertained. 

Cambodia. Indians can obtain a visa on Arrival for Cambodia, for a maximum stay of 30 days. You must have a passport photo, sufficient funds to cover your stay in Cambodia, and travel documents like a completed visa application form and confirmed flight tickets.

Srilanka 

Why Go: Sri Lanka is an easy-going place for children, because of its amusement parks, beaches, historical sites, national parks with elephants can all fascinate and entertain kids. 

Sri Lanka Visa for Indians. Getting a Sri Lanka tourist visa is a simple, secure and 100% online procedure. As an Indian passport holder, you will only need to apply for an online visa. Sri Lanka will issue travelers an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) that allows you to enter the country for 30 consecutive days.

Mauritius 

Why Go: Mauritius is a perfect family destination because if boasts of its beaches and water sports. The luxury hotels just give you the perfect getaway you have been waiting for. 

Indian Nationals traveling to Mauritius for tourist or business purposes will be granted a 60-day visa on arrival provided that they have a valid return ticket, that they are eligible to re-enter their country of origin or residence and have adequate funds to meet the cost of their stay.

Hongkong

Why Go: Hongkong offers the best of both worlds, the glittering skyline, and the traditions. Despite its commercial facade, the city also abounds in natural beauty. Hongkong is popular with kids because of Disneyworld too. 

Hong Kong is a visa-free destination for Indians. Indians need to get a pre-arrival registration to enter the region for 14 days. If your stay exceeds this number, you will require a visa or an entry permit. Make sure you have a valid passport, a return ticket, and foreign currency.

Fiji

Why Go: Fiji is popular for its charming beaches and healthy marine life. It is perfect for travelers who wish to escape to a secluded paradise. 

Indian Nationals do not require pre-entry visas to enter Fiji. Visa will be issued upon arrival at the airport. A valid passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended period of stay.

Malaysia

Why Go: Everybody loves the skyscrapers and the natural beauty of Malaysia. It's known for its beaches, mountains and colonial architecture. 

Malaysia offers Indians the option to apply for an e-Visa in order to visit the country. However, if you are an Indian National arriving directly from Singapore, Thailand or Indonesia, you can get a Visa on Arrival. 

Jordan

Why Go: From stunning natural landscapes to world-renowned historical and religious sites, Jordan is truly a hidden gem of the Middle East.

Jordan announces visa on arrival for Indian passport holders. The visa will be valid for a period of 30 days. 

Thailand 

Why Go: Thailand is one of the most popular destinations because of the sheer number of activities for children. It is popular for its beaches, adventure sports, luxury resorts, elephant sanctuaries, shopping and more.

Indian passport holders who are visiting Thailand for tourism and plan to stay no more than 15 days in the country can avail the visa on arrival service.

Madagascar 

Why Go: Madagascar is an African nation with rich diversity in terms of flora and fauna and is also home to a beautiful natural reserve.

Tourist Visa can be obtained on Arrival for a maximum stay of 30 days, free of cost. The applicant must have a valid passport for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Madagascar.

Kenya

Why Go: A safari in Kenya is life-changing, especially with your children. The vast plains in Masaimara, the proud tribal people and the red blaze sunsets and the Acacia trees will give you an experience straight out of a postcard.

Kenya offers an e-Visa service to Indian tourists.

Tanzania 

Why Go: Tanzania is a destination with wonderful attractions, including wildlife, beaches, friendly people and good weather.

Tanzania offers Indians an option of Visa On Arrival. You need to possess a valid passport and proof of your onward/return journey.

Malawi

Why Go: Malawi is an exciting safari destination in Africa and it also attracts tourists that love their beaches. 

Indian nationals visiting Malawi can obtain a Visa On Arrival for a maximum stay of 30 days. Sufficient funds, a valid passport and documents are necessary. 

Bahrain

Why Go: If you are looking for uber luxury, Bahrain is the destination you are looking for. 

Bahrain has the facility of an e-visa for Indian Nationals. It is important to show you have enough funds and your return ticket. 

Countries you can get Visa on Arrival if you have an existing US Visa

Philippines 

Why Go: The stunning sights above and under the sea makes the Philippines an attractive destination. The breathtaking islands and water sports ensures a good holiday, every season.

Indian passport holders can enter the Philippines for upto 14 days.

  • Entry up to 14 days for India passport holders

United Arab Emirates

Why Go: The United Arab Emirates has always been a popular destination for everybody. It boasts culture, its beaches, and the luxurious lifestyle. The extensive list of things to do with children and the close proximity has made this the most preferred destination.

Indian passport holders can get a visa on arrival if they have an existing US Visa which is valid for atleast 6 months from the date of arrival in UAE. The entry is upto 14 days.

Oman 

Why Go: Everybody is drawn towards Oman's majestic culture, hospitality, luxurious beautiful hotels, and natural beauty. 

Visa is not exempt but you are eligible to apply for e-visa if you have an existing US Visa and the entry is upto 30 days.
