This is one of my favourite discoveries and think its important to share. For a close wedding I wanted to dress my 2 year old daughter in some fun ghaghra choli and that’s when I removed my moms old sarees and started sketching myself and figuring out what embellishments will I need, where to get the borders, and most important a great tailor? I decided to head to Chandralok at Nepean Sea Road, its my first and last resort for any problem or requirement that I have. En route I saw some great kids clothes displayed on the window at the art Gallery next to Sun restaurant at Breach Candy. I hopped off the cab and quickly dashed in, and to my luck I found some fab clothes for kids. The minute I eneter
ed I knew there was no more stitching and designing and hunting for tailors. On display were lehenga cholis, anarkalis, kurtas, angrakhas, little crush dupattas, and lots of accessories. I had finally found kids clothes just the way they are suppose to be. Making kids look like kids and not adults. After running around at so many department stores where they make kids look like adults and tons of embellishments that irritates the skin of the children making the dress good for only 20 mins. Ya for all you know the dress will be changed before you reach the venue of the function. Kids Chakra was started by 2 mommies who struggled themselves to find great Indian wear for their girls and now exhibit across Mumbai. Their designs are simple yet festive enough to adorn your little ones for any occasion. Vibrant hues with simple embellishments with a lining so comfortable that you could actually skip that extra pair of clothing you carry incase they get cranky. 
Priced at Rs 2400 onwards for a ghaghra choli, salwar kameez and Rs 1800 for boys churidaar kurta set. They also have a few loose kurtas which kids can wear on casual occasions. They design for kids between 3 months – 13 years. They don’t have a wide range for the boys but for girls its surely a feast.
