In our earlier post on Kids Online Book Club, Lubaina Bandukwala had suggested The Assassin Nuns of Pistachio by Manisha Anand. The book caters to kids aged 4 and above. The book received positive reviews was a superb fiction all about an 11-year old girl who is all set to save the sleepy town of Pistachio.

After a year and a half, Manisha Anand, is back with the sequel to the book- The Assassin Nuns and the Pirates of Peppercorn Bay.

What is the story about?

The book, published by Puffin Books India, that caters to slightly older kids (aged 8 and above), is all about the much-needed break that Ann and the Assassin Nuns need from the town pf Pistachio. In a bid to hone their culinary skills and go on a vacation, they set off to the town of Peppercorn Bay, that’s devoid of action (if you would think so!). What the silent town has in store for the ladies forms the crux of the story.

The author Manisha Anand, who hails from India, now settled for a happy life in London, knows how to spin a tale, the right way to capture the young readers. The earlier book won her a lot of popularity among the young readers and their parents, and for a debut novel, it was indeed a sweet success.

This sequel is something the young minds were looking forward to, as they wait to embark on an adventurous journey with their favourite protagonist, Ann and the Assassin Nuns.
