Do your notice your busy preschooler run away leaving the bottle opened after grabbing a sip of water? Or letting their dinner plates in the open for so long that the food dries up and becomes stale? That's a problem we all face, as parents! This story that we are reviewing on KSP Book Club, handles the topic of food safety and hygiene in a fun way that your kids will relate to. We love how Katha comes up with socially-relevant topics weaved into stories that children will love and this book is testimony to that.

Which book are we talking about today?

The Tale Of Makkhilal by Geeta Dharmarajan is on our bookshelves this week and we tell you why you must get your kids this one. It's a tale in the fictitious land of Makkhipuri where every citizen hailed the fly- Makkhilal and offered their foods and even into their homes for Makkhilal to enter and taste. But at the same time, their children and other adults in the village would fall ill one by one and the villagers were wondering what happened, Can your child guess what happens next? Get them this book to read to find out!

Not just the fun story in a rhythmic narration, we also loved how the author Geeta Dharmarajan has shared fun facts about flies that kids must read and be aware of. Slipping in the fact about diarrhoea and why we must not take it lightly, this one serves as a nice read to drive home a message to the little ones. Suitable for kids aged 5 and above.
