KSP Book Club: This Book Gives The Indian Touch To Your Favourite Recipes From The World Of Children’s Books

Penned by two friends who are also mommies to their lovely daughters, came up with this unique idea of combining the two things that kids love the most- books and food. We love trying out new recipes for our kids and this book gives us enough to try out, especially from our favourite books.

Just when I thought my little one is all settled with her colouring book and crayons, I would head to the kitchen to prepare the meal and she would silently tiptoe me. Kids find the kitchen fascinating and are amazed at how we handle a dozen ingredients at the same time and marvel at the simplest of recipes! Joining hands with our little ones while baking is every parent's dream. And if you are wondering what are the best recipes to help you do that- here is the book you need to pick up.

Which book are we reading?

The book that's on our shelf this week is Bookworms and Jellybellies by Ranjani Rao and Ruchira Ramanujam and is published by Hachette IndiaBuy here.

What is it about?

Penned by two friends who are also mommies to their lovely daughters, came up with this unique idea of combining the two things that kids love the most- books and food. As bookworms ourselves, there have been plenty of days when we have lived the life of our favourite characters from books. We have wondered what it is to be like Alice in her dreamy wonderland or how juicy and tasty the carrots are in The Peter Rabbit. This book gives wings to your foodie dreams!

Why is this book on our shelf?

  • We love trying out new recipes for our kids and this book gives us enough to try out, especially from our favourite books.
  • You could get your kids all interested about books and cooking at the same time- with this book and that's a double win!
  • We love the innovative style in which these recipes are presented and categorised age-wise. We are sure the kids will love the Hot chocolate on a stick inspired by Heidi and the  Peppa Pig- style pretty pink lemonade.
