KSP Wins A Digital Women Award And We Can’t Stop Grinning!

The first year itself started off with a very impressive line up of speakers and I was able to meet women that are creating a huge impact on the lives of people across the globe. Amitabh Kant, Secretary Dept of Industrial Policy and Promotion started the evening off regaling us all with facts and achievements about today’s women. Soon after that speech it was time to announce the winner of the category I was nominated in – Women In Disruption Awards.

Kidsstoppress wins the Digital Women Award in the Women in Disruption Category!

This is an award given atÂ Shethepeople.tv’s first ever Digital Women Awards. The first year itself started off with a very impressive line up of speakers andÂ I was able to meet women that are creating a huge impact on the lives of people across the globe.

So I was eager to share my journey with you and why I am so proud to be a part of the list.

It started out with being one of 800 applicants and then that was whittled down to 60 applicants and KSP was one of the top 60! That itself was quite an achievement and I was really looking forward to meeting with all the other women nominated and learn some trade secrets.

Soon after that speech it was time to announce the winner of the category I was nominated in – Women In Disruption Awards. When my name was called, I first froze, then did a mad dash for the stage to pick up my trophy. Unfortunately I didn’t have a speech planned but was just happy to thank the biggest inspiration behind Kidsstoppress.com – my daughters!

For the rest of the evening, I clutched my trophy and listened to superÂ interesting panel discussions and insights. The learning that I took back was tremendous and simple.

1. The secret to success? Believe in yourself: More often than not as women we don’t believe in making a business happen. Drop that thought now! Do not be afraid to take risks!

2. Never ever fear what others are going to say or think about you: That is a slippery slope to stand on. Never get on that ride, it will only hold you back.

3. Don’t dream small: Think beyond your family or neighbourhood when building a brand or business.

4. As moms there is so much vying for our attention: Make your business one more thing. Multi task and hard work. There are no substitutes to either.
