Do you want to better the boring old butter? Well, if Betty could do it so can you! Sunita Pradhan, dentist by day and passionate home chef by night wanted to do the same when she decided to open Little Treats!
Little Treats is a line of yummy, handcrafted, flavoured butter that has absolutely no added preservatives. The idea of using Little Treats butter is not just to add that extra oomph to your daily toast but also to include in any meal or dessert for additional flavour.
Butter is extremely versatile to work with and Little Treats takes advantage of that quality. By adding simple ingredients to elevate ordinary butter, Sunita Pradhan has managed to come up with an impressive list of flavours. Little Treats comes in Roasted Garlic, Garlic and Basil, Roasted Bell Pepper, Lime, Honey, and Strawberry flavours!
1. Sweet butters: Currently available in Strawberry, Peach, and Honey.
Try these on toast, on a croissant, or even with pancakes for that extra life to plain old bread. You could even be adventurous slather them as buttercream on top of cupcakes. The peach butter goes well with yoghurt, granola, oatmeal. An excellent product for children as it contains 100% fruit with no preservatives.
2. Savoury butters:Â The flavours include Roasted Garlic, Garlic and Basil, Roasted Bell Pepper, and Lemon butter. In addition to savoury toast, try these with soups, baked potatoes, or scrambled eggs! Also works well with meats.
Our favourite was the Roasted Bell Pepper. Packed with flavour and extremely smooth it carried the taste of smokiness every time you bit into a tiny piece of pepper in the butter.
The Strawberry butter is also a must try. It was sweet, fresh, and simply delicious. Its smooth texture and lightness proved to be the perfect accompaniment to anything.
Delivery:
Once you place an order, the butters are delivered within 48 hours. All butters are made fresh only after the order is placed. You could even pick up your order from their pick up points in Mahim or Dadar. Delivery comes at a marginal price of Rs 50.
Storing and Shelf Life:
The butters keep well in the refrigerator for 15-20 days and you can even buy in bulk and stash them in your freezer for upto 3 months! Each butter comes packed in mason jars and hold 100 gms of flavoured butter.
