Being a mom is all-encompassing – it doesn’t matter whether you are working outside the house, from the house or not working at all. Every mom works incredibly hard and hats off to all of you.
There are days when you look at the clock and it is dinner time and you remind yourself that Mommy needs to cook. Your daughter who’s helping you in the kitchen is asking for mac and cheese. Your other kid is asking for dal-chawal. You want a salad and you know your hubby will want something “nice” when he gets home from work.
Wait a minute.
Your job is not to stress yourself out making separate meals for each member of your family. I get it, though. I am a mom, too. You want to make everyone happy and you want to make sure everyone goes to bed with full bellies. However, you may be making mealtime more work and more stressful than it needs to be.
Our job as parents is not to waste our 10,950 mins on thinking about what to cook, getting the ingredients together, and actually getting going! There’s so much more to do, so how do we get bogged down doing this.
