We take life for granted. This video is not just a story about a visually impaired father and his daughter who helps him every step of the way, but for me it is a reminder of all those moments when my daughters go out of their way to spend some time with me. The times they play dress up and I dismiss them saying they shouldn’t waste time. Or all those times when they make lovely drawings and all I can say is, you can do better. Or when I just nod my head at them and continue chatting on my phone.
This video is a reminder for those fleeting moments that are lost because of daily routine and chaos. Those precious childhood memories that I miss out on everyday just because I have more ‘pressing’ work to attend to.
Our children need our time more than anything else. They only want us to watch them every step of the way and take in just how much they have grown up. After all we have a lifetime to work don’t we,but they are this age just once.
