The Bombay Natural History Society has a Conservation Education Centre (CEC) in Mumbai located at Film City that is spread over 33 acres and borders the Sanjay Gandhi National Park. The focus at the CEC which has an auditorium, a display room and five nature trails is to help kids learn about nature in a fun manner with activities that make the event more interactive.

This weekend Apples & Oranges has collaborated with the CEC to organise a Nature Trail to explore the forest with the experts. Those who register before they hit the magic number can look forward to checking out the old trees, flowering plants and trees; butterflies; and splash in the puddles. This Nature Trail also promises to be different as it is inspired by the “Waldorf Educationâ€_x009d_ principles. It’s going to be a hands-on experiential learning session for all as we touch, hold, feel and play along the trail. There will also be a story and nature hunt.

All children need to be accompanied by an adult. Ideally pack a small picnic bag; ensure good walking shoes for all and take along water, caps, insect repellent, rainwear and sunscreen.
