One Direction, Michelle Obama, Bruno Mars Have All Visited This Muppet ‘Street’. Have You Seen Them Lately?

Sesame Street has so much that makes children happy, but as an adult watching Sesame Street daily with my child, I must admit I used to wait for the celebrity guest to show up! Since Sesame Street began airing close to 50 years ago, it has featured actors, musicians, athletes and even politicians. They all appear for one segment with one of the show’s beloved muppets and help children understand the ‘word of the day’ or the ‘number of the day’ or even just to understand emotions, through song and dance. These segments are short, heartfelt, and really reach out to not just kids watching but their parents as well.
