Addressing a gathering of over 4000 students from across the country in the 7th edition of Pariksha pe Charcha, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about the pressing issues today’s generation faces about exam, stress and the pressures of success and failure.
He also interacted with some students to witness their projects, which were presented at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on Monday, January 29th. What stood out was the Prime Minister’s speech where he highlighted where today’s parents were going wrong with comparing their children to their peers and the undue pressure that today’s children face, compared to the earlier years.
PM Modi reiterated the value of practice and confidence-building, urging students to focus on their progress rather than getting distracted by what others are doing.
This comes at a time when there are reports of Class X and Class XII students reportedly ending their lives, unable to match up to their parents and teacher’s expectations. The awareness shifts towards what we, as a fraternity, need to do, to handhold and guide our children down the right path.
The ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ event aims to provide guidance and support to students during their exam preparations and addresses various aspects of academic and personal development.
